So, you came back. That’s good. That’s very good. That makes me happy.
Wait, don’t go!
All right, to the point. I wanted to use this second blog to give you a little tour of my site, and also set some visitor expectations.
Let’s start with the latter ’cause why the hell not?
Here are some basics:
- How often will I blog? Every three days? Once or twice a month?
- Something like that, yes. Probably less often but I’ll try for more. Should let the meat keep fresh, not let it rot.
- How often will I update “Stories I’ve Read (Recently)?
- Every week or so, if there’s something to add (which, there probably will be…in fact let me go do that right now).
- Back to the blog: what am I going to blog about?
- Short answer: stuff.
- Slightly longer answer: I’ve got a list of thirty odd ideas, including craft & other writerly topics, pointing you to/signal boosting other writers, slants on current events and topics that I don’t see elsewhere, odds & ends that seemed interesting to me at the time, and…whatever else comes up from time to time.
- “Just some guy who writes some stuff” is kinda pathetic, isn’t it?
- This is my website. If you aren’t cool with self-deprecating sarcastic pathos, go launch your own site (no, not right this instant, first finish reading this blog. Please.)
- You really want the realer answer? I find a good part of life-as-me to be a struggle to find the balance between having self-confidence and not seeming egotistical. Maybe it’s easy for other people. It ain’t for me.
Okay, enough about me. Let’s go explore my website.
- Your, um, reading the blog aka AKA The Blog, right now. See above for a bit more info about it.
- Stepping back, we got your standard home page.
- About page, which is, um, about me.
- The bibliography aka Stories I’ve… pages covers a couple of things. Well, the landing page speaks for those pages better than I could.
Wow, that was kind of…you could have sussed all that out yourself with me bothering you first. So, go poke around the site and give me some feedback. I love love love feedback.
See you soon!
